After obtaining her engineering degree at ECPM-Strasbourg, she completed her PhD degree with Dr. Michel Franck-Neumann in 1991 on the total synthesis of natural products. After a post-doctoral research associate position at Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel (Switzerland) on the synthesis of antagonists of the NMDA receptor, she performed a master degree in pharmacochemistry at the university of Strasbourg. In 1996, she entered the CNRS as Chargée de Recherche (CR1). In 2018, she created the SOPhy-team and was promoted Directeur de Recherche in 2019. Her main interests include the development of new synthetic methods and their application for the total synthesis of alkaloids of biological interest aswell as research activities dedicated to plant chemistry (jasmonates, iridoïds, strigolactones, secondary grape metabolites, herbicides).
